And over there in the tree, is a chipmunk nest. And that right there, is our corn, best in the city, it's delicious. And that is a crazy lady. So now you pretty much know what I do. Pretty dang exciting, huh?

Receptionist Available

Since Jentry has moved to town she has done wonders with Sadie's hair! Look how it has grown! If anyone is looking for a cute receptionist I think Sadie aka "Martha" fits the bill now with her flowing hair. Eat your heart out Fabio!
My apologies for the quality of this picture. It was taken with my cell phone while I was laughing so hard tears were streaming down my face.

Tutu Shoot

Sadie and I were a little bored today so we went outside and took some pictures of her in the tutu I made for her upcoming birthday. It was in the middle of the day so the lighting is kind of shadowy but we still had a good time.

I know this goes without saying but, I am really so in love with this little girl : )

Obviously I played with the tint on a few of these...

Zoo Day

This past Saturday we took a little trip to the zoo. The weather forecast said it was going to be around 76* and partly cloudy all day which sounded perfect to us. Turns out 76* is still a little to hot for us winter lovers. Besides us being hot, the day turned out to be really fun. Sadie likes to get outside no matter where were going and the animals were just a bonus. We also got to observe some really great parenting skills while there. We saw a lady in black bondage pants, wearing black lipstick, with jet black (dyed) braided hair, tell her I'm guessing 3yr old son that she was going to take away everything that little boy loved if he wouldn't behave while shaking him and yelling "LOOK AT ME IN THE EYE WHEN I"M TALKING TO YOU!" Yikes. We also observed a lot of kiddy leashes. Until yesterday I hated them, even despised them. I used to say things like "if you can't keep track of your kid enough that you need a leash you should not be a parent". Granted, I'm realizing now that I said a lot of naive things about parenting and how things "should be" before I had a child of my own. I'm not saying that I'm going to put a leash on my child but I can definitely see the benefit of them in a place like a crowded zoo where your kid is so excited to see everything they nearly hyperventilate.
I always enjoy the giraffes and elephants the most while Josh really likes the hippos. Isn't that random? We were lucky to see the tigers put on a real show with wrestling and chasing each other around. It really was a good day.

Lookin good in mom's shades.

Watching the tigers play.
All tuckered out.

Being Awesome: A post by Josh

Hey everyone
I guess by now you all already know that we are pretty much the definition of awesome, but just in case you foolishly forgot I am going to post some media of our stellarness!
Sadie has recently begun to express some personality traits. For example she is not to be disturbed while watching her favorite shows. She is ignoring me despite my many attempts to have her look at the camera.

She is also becoming much better at mimicking our facial expressions.  This is after she took a nose dive while attempting to walk the distance from one couch to the other. She is reflecting Kadi's facial expression. Please note the wardrobe, these were my selections for the day.

In camera news, Kadi and I have been playing with aperture. I was excited about this photo because I was able to get a focus on the middle keys and blur the rest. This will look cooler with a different subject. More pictures to come. Ps this keyboard can be switched to a mode when you play it that sounds like farts!

This is about the only time of day that she is not getting into some sort of mischief.

And of course my blog post would not be complete without some walking!
